  • ~ Lehua Blossom and newly grown leaves of the Ohia Tree ~<br /> <br /> The closer I got to these lehua flowers the more fun they became.<br /> Not only the water droplets from the steady drizzle, but the way the budding stem leaves (called liko lehua) made these wonderful little fuzzy cut-out shaped animal people.<br /> <br /> Saddle Road area, Mauna Kea, Island of Hawaii<br /> <br /> (Order form #9)

  • This fern was growing in the cracks of a decaying cement wall in an abandoned fruit processing plant.<br /> <br /> I was impressed by its tenacity and simple beauty. I think everyone should have a fern growing in his or her walls :)
