The closer I got to these lehua flowers the more fun they became.
Not only the water droplets from the steady drizzle, but the way the budding stem leaves (called liko lehua) made these wonderful little fuzzy cut-out shaped animal people.

  • This fern was growing in the cracks of a decaying cement wall in an abandoned fruit processing plant.<br /> <br /> I was impressed by its tenacity and simple beauty. I think everyone should have a fern growing in his or her walls :)
