>>>Hula April 11th 2007. -- Wednseday Night Ho`ike -- Halau O Kekuhi (Eight pages here) -- Kumu's (Teachers) Nalani Kanaka`ole & Pua Kanaka`0le Kanahele

***NOTE: All hula images here were taken without use of flash (required) and mostly hand-held at 800 ISO light speed-- therefore some of the photos contain a fair amount of pixel-grain and out-of-focusness when enlarged as big prints (20X30-inches). These photos still look great enlarged; even enhancing a painted quality.

ALSO: Please see the four other Merrie Monarch galleries, Three from April 2007 and one gallery from 2005

Licence: I make no representations as to whether your specific use of the image requires a release. You must assume that responsibility. I can only tell you that I don't have a release that is transferable to you.

 • Lehua Blossom and newly grown leaves of the Ohia Tree

The closer I got to these lehua flowers the more fun they became.
Not only the water droplets from the steady drizzle, but the way the budding stem leaves (called liko lehua) made these wonderful little cut-out shaped animal people.
