Hurricane Jova turned aside before reaching the Hawaiian Island shores. Jova’s close visit created some big and wild surfing waves. This guy managed to ride his wave, and then getting his first look at a monster wave behind him~

These are at the 13,700-foot elevation. There are thirteen main obseratories; considered the best viewing of the heavens in the world. They even seem to jut up into heaven here ;)<br />
