This particular lava flow has been pouring into the sea since November 29th, 2012 and is coming from a fissure break on the south flank of P`u o`o Crater, an offshoot of Kilauea's eruption zone on the island of Hawaii. The lava has self-created insulated tubes that keep the molten rock at a high temperature, up to 2000 degrees fahrenheit, during the seven miles of travel to the ocean.

My lava video is available for purchase.
