Giant Centipede / kanapi in Hawaiian
These insects are scary and have a nasty bite…
I have seen some the width of my thumb and 8-inches long; this is a smaller one at about 6-inches.
They crawl very fast! Diet is most anything they can catch, like insects and even geckos.
This one was crawling up a tree at night, inches before my face while I was looking for coqui frogs to photograph.
