Pono! I watched this kid learn to surf from a baby with his dad Steve. Now, at 'older' age, he rips waves well!

1st-Bay Bail

The Hawaiian Islands nearly had a hurricane hit this week (September 2005). Hurricane Jova turned aside before reaching our shores. It is now raining heavily off & on but no damaging winds.

Jova’s close visit has created some bigger surfing waves. In this photo there is a bodyboarder in the shadows there getting the ride of his life.
